Pastor Gayle Woods and his wife, Micki, moved to Cayman Brac in June 2018 to become the senior pastor of the Churches of God (Holiness) at Spot Bay and Watering Place.
Dr. Woods has previously pastored Churches of God (Holiness) in Woodward, OK, Everson, WA, North Kansas City, MO, Burlison, TN, El Monte, CA and Pomona, CA. He has also served as Academic Dean at Mt. Zion Bible School, and was president of Kansas Christian College (formerly known as Kansas City College and Bible School) for 14 years.
He is a licensed and ordained minister of the Church of God (Holiness) and has served the denomination on the Board of Publications, the Home Missions Board and as the chairman of the Credential Committee. He has also served at numerous General Conventions of the Churches of God (Holiness) as the Vice-Chairman.
He has been an online professor for the Nazarene Bible College since 2008. He has also taught online classes for Indiana Wesleyan University and Kansas Christian College. He currently is a contributing editor to the Church Herald and Banner.
Dr. Woods has both B.A. and BTh. degrees from Kansas Christian College, as well as an MDiv degree from Memphis Theological Seminary and a DMin degree from Asbury Theological Seminary. Micki Woods has a BA from Kansas Christian College.
Pastor Gayle and Micki Woods were married in 1970 and have three boys. David is the pastor of the Red Bay Church of God (Holiness) in Grand Cayman. David and his wife have two boys, Joseph and Noah. Jonathan is the pastor of the Cornerstone Church of God (Holiness) in Pomona, CA. Jon and his wife have two children: Joshua and Emily. Ben is an IT in Pomona, CA.
Serving as Assistant Pastor at the Watering Place Church of God (Holiness) is Mrs. Lavonne Ryan, a Justice of the Peace and a former educator in the school system. She is a well known and respected citizen of Cayman Brac.
Mrs. Sonia Christian serves as the Assistant Pastor at the Spot Bay Church of God (Holiness). She is also well known for her food service supplying delicious home cooked meals for many on the island.
