Sneak Peek: de·ni·al /dəˈnīəl/ noun – the action of declaring something to be untrue.
Denial arises when we don’t believe what is actually in front of our eyes. On a personal level, we can deny problems at work, difficulties in our marriage, depression, or addiction—as if denial will make them go away. We ignore family secrets. Sometimes we even cling to delusions in the face of obvious danger.
So, does it seem odd that when God points His finger at us and says, “You are guilty,” that we respond, “Who? Me!”
